Our Services

Prior to the formation of the ASD Climber Foundation, our founders were actively involved in volunteer training and numerous autism awareness/fundraising events. As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, The ASD Climber Foundation will continue with this template and will be actively involved in the following services:

1. Plan and host autism awareness events.

  1. 2.Provide emotional and education support to families with children on the Spectrum.

  2. 3.Provide free training to volunteers interested in the Son-Rise Program. Volunteers who complete 6 months of service will also have the added benefit of using the ASD Climber Foundation as a professional reference in their future endeavors. Please look at the following link Volunteer Info, then contact us for more details on this service.

  3. 4.For families that have chosen to use the Son-Rise Program, we can assist in locating volunteers in your area. Please look at the following link Volunteer, then contact us for more details on this service.

Testimonies

Thank you ASD Climber Foundation for helping me find volunteers for our Son-Rise Program!  I have a child with Autism and tried for two years to find volunteers for our program.  In that time I was only able to find one volunteer.  She was only with us for a few months.  When this year started I prayed that God would help me have a team of 4-6 people that could commit to becoming a part of our program.  It has only been 4 months since the year began and we now have 5 amazing people who are committed to helping James.  James has made so much progress since the volunteers began working with him.  He is so much more comfortable with other people.  His speech is rapidly improving. He is able to participate in games and activities in his class at church.  He is so happy!  I couldn't ask for anything more!

Just wanted to drop a quick line to say thank you and tell you how grateful we are to you and ASD Climber Foundation. We have six amazing volunteers right now and I feel our program is off to an amazing start this fall. Things are going strong now thanks in *large* part to your help and support. While many of the Volunteer Match profiles didn't suit/meet our needs (or some lost interest), the ones that have panned out have turned out to be amazing and perfect for us.  Most all of the UT Volunteer profiles have turned out to be ideal.  Some haven't been able to make the commitment for whatever reason, but the volunteers we *do* have from UT are incredible.

We are so blessed. God has been so gracious in his provision. I'm so humbled by what is happening in our lives and for our son. Thank you so much for all you do. We are just grateful beyond words. We have some of the BEST volunteers ever and you have been instrumental in helping us find them. We have a few more evening and weekend spots to fill, but I think we'll be at capacity very soon.  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

At this time I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you, more than words can say, for offering the ASD Climber Foundation as a service and connection to local volunteers. We are a family you are assisting in San Jose and we have met such wonderful people so far, through the Volunteer Match posting. We have more interested people than we can schedule, currently!

Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences. We have a high school volunteer with ASD herself (LOVE HER!!!), college students who are considering career paths working with students with ASDs, and even adults who are highly educated in classrooms who were inspired by an opportunity to play. Our volunteers are creative (one brings a collection of skateboards from overseas. They ROCK!!!! And Roll!!!) and our son is so excited every time the doorbell rings. He is interested in seeing who his next volunteer is! And the language development...his latest expression is "Thank  you".

The benefits for me, as a mom, are just as huge. When I am with a volunteer, I am reminded of my wisdom, deep understanding, and love for my child...it is so much stronger and more powerful than those moments when I am "fearing" and "doubting" my son and feeling overwhelmed by his behavior. I truly feel my ability to lead. I am so present, thoughtful, and excited to teach others. And so far, they all come back and want to learn more!
